A New Leader

Dear Parents,

After ten years as your director, I am retiring from Bright Beginnings Preschool. I have accepted a teaching position with the Walton County Public School System for the next year. I will be teaching 4th grade at Walker Park Elementary School.

I love this school and am so thankful that the Lord gave me a passion for this place and allowed me to be with all of your children. Please know that the school is in my prayers as they continue to provide the best preschool education around. This place is truly the best of the best!

I leave you in very capable hands as my assistant director, Mrs. Tracey means, will be your new administrator. The board and I feel that she is the Lord's best for our school and know she will do a wonderful job. Please pray for her as she transitions into this position. With almost all of our staff members returning for next year, she will have a wonderful group of educators under her leadership.

The new assistant director will be Mrs. Angie Bolemon. She is a Bright Beginnings Preschool parent, an educator, and former board member. Again, God has been so gracious to provide a gifted and talented person to be Tracey's assistant. We are excited about having her as a new addition to our administrative staff.

I covet your prayers as I begin this new season in my life and look forward to seeing how God will continue to use Bright Beginnings in our community.

Summer Office Hours

The preschool office will be open each Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm.

Class Lists & Home Visits

Class lists and student placement will not be finalized until the end of July. Teachers will receive class list information at the beginning of August. Once they have this information, they will begin calling to set up home visits. Please remember that these visits are not a time for you to stress out or entertain the teachers. Visits are for the purpose of introducing themselves to the student and the parent in an environment where the student feels safe and one where the student is familiar. It is also important to have the parent there for support and encouragement.

Bright Beginnings Fundraiser Cards

The fundraiser cards will be in the first of July! In order to save postage, the school would prefer for you to pick them up in the office rather than mailing them to you. We offer these to you early in order for you to get a "jump start" selling them in the community during summer vacation. Please remember that all students/families are required to participate in this fundraiser and that all money collected from the cards is due at, or before, open house on August 21st. If you have any questions about anything, please contact the preschool office.

New Parent Orientation

If you are a new family to Bright Beginnings Preschool, you are required to attend a new parent orientation in order to finalize your child's enrollment into the program. Our final new parent orientation is scheduled for Thursday, July 24th at 7:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary. Please call the school office and let us know if you are planning to be in attendance. Due to the nature of this venue, also be aware that we ask no children be brought to this orientation. Thanks, in advance, for your cooperation and consideration of those in attendance.
